Can I change plans at any time?

Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately and you receive a prorated credit for unused time. Downgrades take effect at the end of your billing period.

Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Layflat at layflat.travel (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. We may update these Terms from time to time; continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Description of Service

Layflat is an award flight search and monitoring service focused on ANA business class availability to and from Tokyo. The Service allows users to search for award availability, set alerts for specific routes and dates, and receive notifications when seats become available.

Layflat is an independent tool and is not affiliated with ANA (All Nippon Airways) or any airline, airline alliance, or loyalty program. Award availability data is sourced from third-party providers and is provided for informational purposes only.

3. Account Registration

Certain features of the Service require account registration. Accounts are managed through Clerk, our authentication provider. By creating an account, you agree to provide accurate and current information and to keep your credentials secure.

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately at hello@layflat.travel if you believe your account has been compromised.

4. Subscription and Billing

Layflat offers the following subscription tiers:

Scout — Free. Basic search access with limited alerts.
Explorer — $7/month. Expanded search access and more alert slots.
Adventurer — $15/month. Full access to all search features and maximum alert slots.

Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing to a paid tier, you authorize Stripe to charge your payment method on a recurring monthly basis. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the next billing cycle. You may cancel at any time through your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

Layflat does not offer refunds for partial subscription periods except as required by applicable law.

5. Prohibited Uses

Your use of the Service is subject to the following restrictions. Violation of any of these prohibitions may result in immediate termination of your account without refund.

5.1 No Automated Data Extraction

You may not scrape, crawl, spider, or use any automated means to access, collect, or extract data from the Service. This includes but is not limited to bots, scripts, browser extensions, and any other automated tools.

5.2 No Commercial Use

You may not use the Service or any data obtained through the Service for any "Commercial Purpose" without prior written permission from Layflat. "Commercial Purpose" means any activity that generates or is reasonably expected to generate revenue, directly or indirectly, including operating a competing service, reselling data, or providing paid consulting that relies on Layflat data.

5.3 No Resale or Redistribution

You may not resell, redistribute, sublicense, or otherwise transfer access to the Service or any data obtained through the Service to any third party.

5.4 No Mileage Brokering

You may not use the Service in connection with mileage brokering — the buying, selling, or transferring of frequent flyer miles or points for compensation. Accounts that Layflat reasonably suspects of involvement in mileage brokering will be terminated immediately without refund.

5.5 No Reverse Engineering

You may not reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code, algorithms, or underlying structure of the Service or any API used by the Service.

5.6 No Circumvention of Access Controls

You may not attempt to circumvent, bypass, or otherwise defeat any rate limits, access controls, authentication mechanisms, or security features of the Service.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, data, designs, software, and other materials made available through the Service are the proprietary property of Layflat or its licensors. The availability data surfaced by the Service is compiled, processed, and presented through significant effort and investment by Layflat and constitutes proprietary information.

Nothing in these Terms grants you any right, title, or interest in the Service or its underlying data beyond the limited personal, non-commercial use license described herein.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

Award seat availability changes rapidly and is subject to airline control. Layflat makes no guarantee that availability shown through the Service is current, accurate, or will remain available at the time of booking. Data displayed is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. LAYFLAT DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, LAYFLAT AND ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, AND CONTRACTORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, INCLUDING MISSED TRAVEL OPPORTUNITIES, LOST MILES OR POINTS, OR BOOKING ERRORS, EVEN IF LAYFLAT HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. LAYFLAT'S TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO LAYFLAT IN THE THREE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

9. Termination

You may cancel your account at any time through your account settings. Layflat reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for any violation of these Terms — including but not limited to the prohibited uses described in Section 5. Termination for violation of these Terms will not entitle you to a refund of any prepaid subscription fees.

Upon termination, your right to access the Service ceases immediately. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation where possible.
